More than 10 years in practice, the team at Young for Life Medical has enjoyed helping thousands of patients regain their health through regenerative medicine practices. Dr. Robert Porzio, Medical Director of Young for Life Medical, specializes in functional, regenerative and preventive care. Using advanced therapies, such as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and platelet-rich plasma therapy he can help improve overall health, restore sexual wellness, and rejuvenate aging skin.
All the programs at Young for Life Medical are customized to suit the demands and lifestyle of each patient. The experienced medical team at Young for Life Medical is dedicated to helping every patient achieve their best health ever, at every stage of life. As a member of the BodyLogicDO network of physicians, Dr. Porzio is dedicated to guiding his patients to a healthier, higher quality of life.
Dr. Bob Porzio is just like you: he wants to live long, stay healthy, and age gracefully while doing the things he wants to do and that make him happy. He wants to be able to perform optimally and with vitality in all areas of life for as long as possible. What may be unique, though, is that he is a physician with the passion, training, and knowledge to pursue these goals along with the mission to enable his patients to do the same.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from California State University Long Beach where he was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society, Dr. Bob trained in the traditional, Western way of medicine. He went to medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California where he was awarded the school’s Student DO of the Year as well as being recognized for Excellence in Emergency Medicine by the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. He was selected for and completed an Osteopathic Teaching Fellowship and obtained both his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and Masters Degree in Education concurrently.
He moved to Michigan for residency training in Emergency Medicine where he was also Chief Resident of his class. Ultimately ending up in Northern California, he became board certified in Emergency Medicine and worked as an attending physician at a level 2 trauma center for 9 years while also receiving special certifications in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine and working in this medical specialty for 3 years.
His realization of what traditional medicine lacked for the beneficial health and longevity of people came somewhere in the midst of treating thousands of patients with chronic, debilitating diseases. Dr. Bob altered his focus to prevention and Age Management in 2007 and completed a Fellowship in the American Academy of AntiAging and Regenerative Medicine and has completed additional training with the Institute of Functional Medicine, the American Osteopathic Academy of Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine, and the prestigious Hackett Hemwall Foundation which focuses on regenerative injection therapies such as Prolotherapy.
He is currently owner and Chief Medical Officer of Young for Life Medical, part of the BodyLogicDO network of progressive physicians, with offices in San Jose and Redding, California. He dedicates his practice to helping patients achieve better health, vitality, and longevity through hormone replacement using bioidentical hormone pellet implants, supplementation, dietary counseling and programs, and regenerative injection therapies.
